Printer Ink Cartridge Types

Back to Info Center

OEM: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is produced by the original manufacturer. These are generally guaranteed to be free from defect in material and workmanship during its lifetime. Typically these cartridges are supplied along with new printers.

Compatible: These ink cartridges are manufactured to the original manufacturer's specification by other manufacturers. They are guaranteed to be free from defect in material and workmanship during its lifetime. Many of the ink cartridges offered at Castle Ink are compatible. Since every compatible cartridge that we sell is 100% satisfaction guaranteed, you never have to worry.

OEMC: OEM-Compatible toner cartridges are manufactured to meet or exceed OEM performance. All drums and working parts are new. Guaranteed to be free from defect in material and workmanship during its lifetime.

Remanufactured: Another great alternative to OEMs. To create these, we disassemble and rebuild the ink cartridge with new parts (if needed). These are guaranteed to be free from defect in material and workmanship during its lifetime. Since we fill our remanufactured ink cartridge to capacity, our products often have more ink than the originals. By buying remanufactured ink cartridges, you're helping the environment. Rather than piling our landfills with plastics and toxins, we just clean the original case and refill with new, premium ink. There's no waste!
