New York, NY -- PC Magazine recently compiled a list of four AIO printers that will increase productivity while keeping the cost to consumers down. All of the machines selected have been reviewed in full in the last year by PC Magazine. To qualify, the printers had to be amongst the lowest cost per page, but each offers other notable features as well.
The cost totals noted by PC Magazine were calculated from an estimate and some basic tests checking to make sure each manufacturers’ claims were close to the ISO/IEC standards and the totals checked out. The results were also based only on documents, not photos, differentiating between color and monochrome totals.
Two of the printers chosen for this list are also recipients of awards from PC Magazine, the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless and the Epson Workforce 310. For the HP machine, the cost per black-and-white page is 1.6 cents and 7.2 cents for color pages. The Epson device really made this list solely on it’s monochrome cost per page (2.5 cents) rather than its color cost per page of 12.3 cents. If you don’t fine yourself printing a lot of color documents, then the low cost of the monochrome should be able to offset the slightly higher color cost per page.
The other two printers included in this list are the Kodak ESP 9 and the HP Officejet 6500 Wireless. The Kodak printer has a cost of 2.3 cents per page for black-and-white pages and 6.9 cents for color pages. The other HP machine has a cost of 2.7 cents per page for black-and-white pages and 9.1 cents per page for color pages.
