Best printers for personal use

Last month PC Magazine put together a list of printers that they recommend for personal use. Each of the four printers received "Editor's Choice" status following its review. With all of the printers selling at less than $200, each is touted as an economical choice but without sacrificing on speed or output quality. The group contains both inkjet and laser printers and are as follows (in no particular order):

HP OfficeJet 6000 Wireless Printer (Retails for under $120)

Brother HL-5340D Printer (Retails for about $200)

The 5340D is a laser printer, and as such offers very quick print speed, solid paper handling, and very acceptable text quality. What sets this one apart is the better than average graphics quality, not usually found in a laser printer for this price, if at all. Buy this printer at Amazon.com

Konica Minolta magicolor 1600w (Retails for about $180)

Costing less than its competition, matching the text quality, and printing faster all combine to make this a very worthwhile addition to a home. Add the fact that it is a color laser, and that makes it even more unbeatable. Buy this printer at Amazon.com

Brother HL-2170W (Retails for about $150)

The 2170W offers users higher than average print quality and very quick print speeds. It also comes with enough room for paper that it could be used in a small office.
