Inkjet Printer for Boxes

The VISYjet HR-1 Ink Jet Printer found at http://www.visyjet.com/ looks like a small metal junction box with a calculator front. The portable box printer is an ink jet printer, and features disposable ink cartridges like other ink jet printers.

With the number and letter keypad front, users can enter text for their boxes either one or two lines at a time. These lines can be saved and include elements such as data and time that update automatically.

This printer will not limit your box label fonts to Times New Roman; VISYjet includes many special characters, so that logos will come out crisp and original, in any size from 3 to 9 millimeters. Save a variety of typical logos and messages to be recalled with date and time updated at the push of a few buttons.

According to a Manufacturer’s Monthly article where you can read more about the box printer, speed for low resolution is up to 40m. per minute.

While this printer is probably meant for quality business solutions, I can’t help imagining a move to a new home so organized that my high school librarian would be proud. Where’s the silverware box? I filed it right under “kitchen” after “pots and pans.” No more unreadable sharpie scribbles.
