comes with a 250 sheet paper tray located on the top of the machine, another 250 sheet cassette located in the front of the machine, as well as a 10-sheet capacity manual feed, also on the front of the machine. With that type of paper storage, one would not expect it to be a small machine, and it is not.
Measuring 10.2" x 20.4" x 25.5"(H x W x D) and weighing an incredible 43.7lbs., it is not a machine you will move around much. The Ethernet connectivity gives you some flexibility in placement. It is capable of producing prints on plain paper up to 11" x 17" and photo prints up to 13" x 19", so it almost seems like a wide-format printer. With the combination of Canons FINE and PgR technologies, the quality of the output (maximum resolution is 4800 x 1200 dpi) is certainly superb. In terms of ink, the Canon PIXMA iX7000 Printer
uses Lucia inks in a total of six tanks, 5 of which are colored ink and the other is a clear ink(PGI -9) that acts as a seal for the colors and prevents bleeding. The cartridges for cyan, magenta, yellow, and photo black are all PGI-9s and the larger capacity black for text is a PGI-7. The only detriments to the ix7000 are the lack of Wi-Fi connectivity, no LCD screen, and the fact that is a single-function printer. Overall, if you or your business are looking for a single-function inkjet, with great output quality, this machine is worth consideration.
