Based on the new ISO standards, the Pixma MP560 will output 9.2 ipm in black and 6.0 ipm for color jobs at a maximum resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi. The device will even produce a 4” x 6” photo in less than 40 seconds. The printer itself is fairly compact, measuring just 6.3" x 17.9" x 14.5" (H x W x D) and weighing less than 20lbs.
You can print directly from a variety of memory cards (SD Memory Card, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, MultiMediaCard Plus, CompactFlash Card, Microdrive, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo) and there is also a PictBridge port. The MP560 can be connected to your PC or Mac via USB or wirelessly. If you have a camera phone, you can even print via Bluetooth. The paper tray is a little small, handling 80 sheets at a time, but comes with paper clasps to hold your paper firmly in place. The accepted sizes are 8.5” x 14”, 8.5” x 11” and 4” x 6” a prints.
It also features unique 2-way feeding so the user has two options for paper input/output. In terms of a display, the MP560 has a hidden control panel which flips up from the right side of the device. Underneath there is a 2” LCD and Canon’s Easy Scroll Wheel plus additional buttons. This device uses five individual cartridges for its ink including a pigment black (PGI-220) as well as cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (all CLI 221s).
