New York, NY -- Originally reveiwed by PC World in 2009, the HP Officejet 6500 Wireless offers home office or small business owners a great deal of functionality at an affordable price. This 4-in-1 (print, copy, scan, fax) device is capable of printing a maximum of 32 pages per minute for black and white jobs and 31 pages per minute for color jobs. The device’s dimensions are about average for an AIO, measuring 10.16” x 18.7” x 18.6” (H x W x D). The 6500 also offers a 2-line, 16 character monochrome LCD screen for messages and menu options. You can print photos without your PC using one of the printer’s memory card slots (MMC/SD, xD, and MS/Duomedia cards). Surprisingly enough, however, the machine does not have a PictBridge port.
What is does have though is a 250 sheet input tray for paper which can handle everything from 4” x 6” photo paper to 8.5” x 14” sheets of plain paper. The 6500 also comes equipped with a 35 page ADF on the top of the machine and an automatic duplexer. Users can connect to the device via USB cable, Ethernet port, or Wi-Fi connectivity. In terms of ink, the 6500 uses a four-cartridge bay for black (HP 920 / C4902A), cyan (HP 920 / C4903A), magenta (HP 920 / C4904A) , and yellow (HP 920 / C4905A) individual ink cartridges none of which are expensive. Each of the cartridges has a high yield equivalent which lowers your cost per page even more. Overall, this is a very worthy printer for the price and features.
