The HP Photosmart C4680 Printer
(reviewed by PC World in July 2009) is a basic printer without too many bells and whistles. It will print a maximum of 29 pages per minute for black and white jobs and 23 pages per minute for color jobs. It includes a nice, but small, 1.5" LCD on the display panel that provides the user the opportunity to print photos directly from the printer. The C4680 will print in color or in black and white at a maximum optical resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. It is both PC and Mac compatible and connects to your computer via a USB 2.0 cable. According to the review by PC World, there are no memory card slot readers, however upon closer inspection, it does appear as though it offers support for various types of memory cards (Memory Stick; Memory Stick Duo; Secure Digital/MultimediaCard; Secure Digital High Capacity Card; xD-Picture Card), according to HP. The C4680 uses a standard set up for ink cartridges; one black cartridge(HP 60) and one tri-color cartridge (HP 60 Tri-color) and each also have the option of a larger XL size. Overall, this printer is priced to sell at $100, and is a good choice for an average home user, but most likely too basic for any home office or small business.
