HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One (HP C309A Printer) Printer Review
The aptly named "premium" in the Photosmart line of machines from HP is feature-filled all-in-one. The Premium (or C309) will print up to 33 black and white pages per minute and 32 color pages per minute. The maximum print resolution is 9600 x 2400 dpi and it will scan at 4800 x 4800 dpi. Also included for digital photo printing independent from your PC are several memory card slots (MS, SD, xD, CF) and the USB port is also PictBridge compatible for easy one-touch printing. Another nice feature of the Photosmart Premium is the 50-page automatic document feeder for scanning and copying. It is both PC and Mac compatible, and like many HP products, offers easy set up for wireless printing. The C309 measures approximately 11.1" tall x 18.4 " wide x 18.6" deep . It also offers two separate print trays which will allow you to leave multiple sizes of paper in at the same time and automatically enables the user to print on both sides of a sheet of paper. The Photosmart Premium comes with 5 different ink slots-including one specifically for photos-all of them are numbered as 564s (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow). In terms of image quality, this HP Photosmart Premium is very solid all around, but especially when it comes to printing photos. Some printers sacrifice quality for speed in printing, but that is not the case here. One detriment to this machine are the lack of hinges on the scanner which makes it easier to scan thicker books and documents. Overall though, this machine like it's name is a premium and is perfect for your home office or small business.
