New York, NY -- Initially examined in March 2010 by PrinterComparison.com, the Lexmark X466de is a 4-in-1 (print, scan, copy, fax) AIO one of the latest models in their X460 series aimed at businesses. This is a very robust machine with a monthly duty cycle of 80,000 so it is no surprise that it is not small. The X466de measures 21.5” x 19.2” x 17.2” (H x W x D) with its trays fully extended and weights close to 60 lbs.
Among its highlights are a 50-page ADF that sits atop the machine, a 7” e-Task color screen, and automatic duplexing. The scanner is capable of double-sided scans up to 8.5” x 14” in size. The X466de prints at a maximum of 40 pages per minute and can scan up to 35 single-sided pages per minute or 12-13 double-sided pages. The USB port is conveniently located to the left of the touch screen. It also comes with a 500MHz processor and 256MB of RAM standard.
This Lexmark model is both PC and Mac compatible and be connected with either a USB cable or Ethernet cord standard. For extra money, businesses can acquire a wireless print server. In terms of paper handling, the standard configuration includes a 250-sheet cassette and 50-sheet multipurpose tray. If that’s not enough, you can add a 550-sheet tray for $199, giving a total capacity of 850 sheets.
In regards to the toner, the X466de comes with a starter return program cartridge with an estimated print yield of 7,000 pages and sells for $99.99. There are also longer lasting cartridges available in a high-yield return program(9,000 sheets, $193.99) and extra high-yield return program (15,000 sheets, $251.99) cartridges.
