Lake Success, NY – Canon, According to a release on their corporate U.S.A. web site today, Gartner, Inc., a leading IT analysis firm, has been placed into the Leader Quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for MFPs and Printers Report”.
The “Magic Quadrant” of Gartner, Inc., evaluates vendors in two categories: the Ability to Execute and the Completeness of Vision. For the first category, the company is evaluated on “‘on the quality and efficacy of the processes, systems, methods and procedures that enable their products' performance to be competitive, efficient and effective, and to positively impact revenue, retention and reputation.’” For the second category, Gartner looks at the company’s “understanding of how market forces can be exploited to create opportunity for the provider and for its clients.’”
From Gartner’s perspective, those companies chosen as leaders are the “‘most capable’” of offering solutions for clients regardless of location in which the client works and operates. They have also been judged to have a larger product portfolio when compared to industry peers. As such, according to Gartner, these firms are by and large those which hold high market share around the globe. Amongst other attributes associated with the companies are the “skills and vision to deliver superior levels of support to existing and future customers globally.”
