First, there were greener inks, followed by greener printers, and now, a green font? Yes, indeed it is true. In an article dated October 3 from CNet.com, the columnist Rick Broida has discovered another way to save money on printing. Sure, you can squeeze more pages onto a single sheet, print on both sides of a sheet, print in draft mode, and now you can print with holes in your letters. It's called Ecofont, and their producers promise it will utilize 20% less ink when compared to normal printing. It is available for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems, and closely resembles Arial in appearance. Broida also concedes that yes, there are fonts that are basically outlines of letters, but then some of those are not the most readable fonts when printed either.
