Point of Sale or POS printers have become standard technology for businesses these days. The prices will vary, but are not unreasonable. Inside of the POS genre, thermal printers are amongst the most popular choices for a variety of settings. Using thermal printers is a good way to automate your business from older methods such as paper receipts. One of the nicest things about using these printers is that rather than having to replace costly ink, you replace the thermal paper instead which is lot more cost effective. Known in the industry for its reliability and ease of care (a very important characteristic for small businesses), it uses serial or parallel ports to connect to the PC. The TM T88IV uses a slightly smaller roll, 3.13", and has a maximum dpi of 180x180. This newer device by default relies on a wired connection, though a wireless connection can be applied to it via other peripheral s. It will run approximately 25% faster than early Epson POS thermal printers and is ideal for hospitals or retail stores with a heavy sales volume. The TM T88IV can also print in two colors, is easier to use, and more reliable than earlier models.
