Canon Printers - Canon EX Printer Fuser Measurements
If you measure values in the indicated range on the right side contacts, the lamp is fine (240V fusers will read 3-4 times higher on the right side contacts).

Removal Instructions Open the back door of the printer. Using a philips screwdriver, remove the 2 hex-headed screws holding the fuser in place. Gently pull back, watching the plastic arm on the top right to make sure it doesn't get hung up and break.
If you don't have a meter, continuity can also be checked across the contacts on the right hand side of the fuser by using a digital tester.
