Fun Printers

There are hundreds of different printer models. Here are some that are more fun than practical.

1. This industrious member of the Maker community converted an iRobot Roomba into a printer. Visit www.geek.com to find out more and view a video. The maker fitted the roomba with a printhead that spread powder on the floor to create "printed" designs.

2. Ransmeier & Floyd designed a thin, wall-mounted printer that outputs a document to the side, but does not appear to have any way to catch the printed item, besides a hand. Visit www.engadget.com to find out more and view pictures of this potentially mess-creating sleek printer.

3. My personal favorite among fun printers is the 3D printer. View a video of a 3D model printer here youtube.com. This printer looks like a Lego, and prints models that look like Legos. All you need is a 3D print model, how hard could it be?
