In June, printing giant Xerox announced its efforts to make printing greener by going cartridge-free. Their newest printer model offers the capability to use solid ink sticks. They claim no stains will be forthcoming.
According to Xerox the new printer produces 90% less waste in ink than other printers, and keeping the Xerox history in mind, their research and development is relatively trustworthy.
This new development is called a ColorQube, and currently costs a whopping $15,000. It might be necessary to stick with recycled ink cartridges for today. But in spite of the expense now, this development means good news; new technology tends to drop in price eventually.
Businesses in the market for high-quality printing equipment should consider this new option with the rest.
