New York, NY -- It was announced today as part of new “Just Right IT” portfolio that HP has developed two Officejet printer models that have their own e-mail address much like their cousins in the Photosmart line which debuted earlier this summer. The release covered more than just printers, but since that is our focus, it is where we will concentrate here.
Both of the two new devices, the Officejet 8500 e-All-in-One series and the Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One are designed with businesses in mind. Both come with a bevy of print apps and HP’s ePrint technology which allows each printer to have a unique email address. This allows users to send print jobs from any web-connected mobile device with email capabilities. In addition to being able to send jobs to the printer, the apps allow access to web content as well.
According to HP, the 8500A is capable of “professional color at up to 50 percent lower cost per page” than similarly priced (sub $600) laser printers. The 7500A reportedly offers the lowest cost per page among wide-format AIO inkjet devices.
