New York, NY -- When we first reported on now former CEO Mark Hurd, the consultant had not been revealed. According to Bloomberg news, that person has now been identified as former actress Jodie Fisher.
Apparently, Ms. Fisher worked on a contract basis with HP appearing in public at a variety of “high-level and executive summit events held worldwide”, she said through a statement. For her time and trouble, Mr. Hurd paid her for the expenses incurred and that amount ranged from $1,000 to $20,000, which were found to be inaccurate during the investigation. An insider at HP told Bloomberg that he intends to pay back the amount.
Further, Ms. Fisher denies any inappropriate sexual relationship with Hurd. The sexual harassment claim was settled privately by both parties, according to Ms. Fisher’s attorney Gloria Allred. Ms. Fisher has been quoted by multiple sources saying that she was “ ‘surprised and saddened’” that Mr. Hurd lost his job and “that was never my intention.”
