These three new devices are all designed to allow SMBs to keep more of their color printing in-house and keep costs down. All three of the printers are web-connected, so they support HP’s ePrint technology as well as Wireless Direct and Apple’s AirPrint. This functionality allows users to print from where they are, instead of having to be in the same room as the printer. The printers also support HP business apps which means employees can access and print web content directly from the touchscreen displays featured on the unit (on the MFP M375 and M475 only).
HP LaserJet Pro 400 color M451
The M451 has ultra-fast print speeds up to 21 ISO ppm and comes with a 2-line LCD display. There is a 50-sheet capacity multipurpose tray in addition to the main, 250-sheet capacity tray. If you need more than that, you can add a third tray, also with a 250-sheet capacity. The printer is also configured to automatically print double-sided output. It works with a variety of pre-formatted HP templates to make the creating of marketing materials a breeze.
HP LaserJet Pro 300 color MFP M375
The MFP M375 has very fast print speeds with up to 19 ISO ppm and comes with a nice, 3.5” color touchscreen LCD. It is a 4-in-1 device with the ability to print, scan, copy, and fax your output. The standard paper capacity is 300 sheets (250-sheet tray, 50-sheet multipurpose) and it also has a 50-sheet capacity ADF. Automatic, two-sided printing is also standard on this model.
HP LaserJet Pro 300 color MFP M475
The MFP M475 retains the same features as the MFP M375, but has faster print speeds, up to 21 ISOppm as well as a 3.5” color touchscreen LCD. It is also a 4-in-1 device with the ability to print, scan, copy, and fax your output and the same paper capacity, including the ADF. Like the MFP M375 and the M451, automatic, two-sided printing is standard. Additionally, this unit features HP Web Jetadmin which makes it easy to monitor office printing and make adjustments as necessary.
An executive, Donna Fox of Fox Land Surveys, who beta-tested the product had this to say:
“‘It’s a game changer for us, as its amazing print speeds and feature set have increased productivity, while the ability to create external documents in-house has saved us a significant amount of money that would have otherwise been spent on outside vendors.’”
All three printers are on display at the MacWorld iWorld 2012 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from January 26-28th. More information is available from HP in booth 602. No pricing details were noted in the press release, but all units will be available worldwide on February 1, 2012.
