New York, NY -- In the wake of the release of the letter and email in the Mark Hurd scandal, some of HP’s channel partners have spoken out anonymously denouncing Hurd, reports the Recycler in conjunction with a piece which appeared in CRN.
One remarked, “‘I was a huge Mark Hurd fan and even gave him the benefit of the doubt until reading the allegations. It’s pretty sad. Hurd apparently tried using power, position and wealth to take advantage of someone, and he got called on it.’” While this is only one example, it shows how mistakes in business will have reverberations outside of the walls of their company.
As was mentioned in our coverage last week, Fisher did recant her letter, citing inaccuracies, and has settled the matter privately with Mr. Hurd. Oracle has not expressed any public disapproval of their co-president, and Senior Vice President, Ken Glueck, does not foresee any impact with any of Oracle’s current or future channel partners.
