New York, NY -- One of the biggest questions that always surrounds remanufactured or non-OEM ink is the quality when compared to an OEM equivalent. Woodland Hills, CA-based ILG has invested a lot of time, research, and development into assuring that their products meet the high standards of their customers. To that end, this week they announced the debut of the new Color Certified Cartridge Certification.
The Color Certified Cartridge Certification system will be used to identify color toner cartridges which have undergone additional testing to further assure their quality. This certification will be found on products from ILG’s HP JUMBO COLOR line as well as other non-OEM HP alternatives.
For a cartridge to reach this new, gold standard, one of the tests the toner must pass is called Full Life Yield Testing. This ensures that the stated yields are met and are examined according to the steps outlined in the ISO 19758 testing protocol. The yields are calculated based on the standard 5% page coverage. In addition to yield testing, ILG also checks the quality of the cartridge at different environments: low-low, high-high, and ambient temperatures as well as Production Run Testing. This further ensures that customers will not be disappointed or surprised at the quality of their output, regardless of how and when they print.
Overall, these new ILG color cartridges are said to have “‘exclusive color-formulations that have been co-developed by ILG and a leading component manufacturing partner” that is said to provide “excellent print output performance from start to finish’”.
