New York, NY -- A new report recently published by Info Trends called Office Documents & Solutions in Latin America believes that the next major growth opportunity for document technology and services will be in Latin America.
Because of the “saturation” of those same markets in both the United States and Europe, Latin American countries could see and average of as much as 12% growth compounded annually from 2010 through to 2015. They anticipate that Brazil will gain the most with close to 14% compounded annually.
Why Latin America? The region is considered to not only be “print-heavy”, but there also exist several organizations which care deeply about the environment and keep track of what effect their business practices have on it. Additionally, the report notes that cloud computing is on the increase which will result in a heavy dose of scanning on many different devices.
The director of InfoTrends, Randy Dazo, believes that although Latin America is not the only place where cloud computing and greener IT are taking place, the “‘region shows potential for the expansion of managed print services (MPS), document security, output management, and document management solutions.’”
