Lexmark Inks Deal With State Government in New York
Date: July 22, 2010
New York, NY -- Lexmark announced via a press release on their corporate site on Wednesday July 21st that they have received a one-year Aggregate Printer Purchase Initiative for their printers and MFPs from New York State’s Office of General Services (OGS). Lexmark proposed printers for each of ten categories and was rated first overall in nine of those. Additionally, Lexmark was the only one of the companies vying for this that had a printer selected from each of the ten categories. In addition, Lexmark is providing a three-year warranty on all of the products purchased in case the OGS wishes to negotiate for additional time at the end of the first year.
Here is a list of the printers that were selected by OGS for use (taken directly from Lexmark’s release):
Lexmark’s president of the Printing Solutions and Services Division, Marty Canning, had this to say about the deal, “This Aggregate Printer Purchase Initiative award demonstrates the competitive strength, breadth, depth and overall value of Lexmark's printer and MFP product lines.” Lexmark certainly seems to have everything going for them. It will be interesting to see where they can expand to next.
