The news release from Lexmark’s corporate site today announced the upcoming release of the Pinnacle Pro 901, an addition to the already successful professional line that was revealed back in
September of 2009. Like its brother the Platinum Pro 905, the Pinnacle has a 4.3” Web-connected touch screen, can print, copy, scan, or fax, and utilizes the now famous $4.99 Lexmark cartridge.
The Pinnacle received a Hot Tech Demo award from the Fifth Annual Small Business Summit being held in New York on Tuesday March 16, 2010. One of Lexmark’s executive vice presidents, Mr. Rooke states that, “Customers have told us that the cost of supplies is their primary pain point when it comes to printing. Combining our $4.99 cartridge pricing with the ease-of-use and functionality of Pinnacle's touch-screen menu and SmartSolutions helps our customers be more efficient, saving both time and money.”
The printer is slated to be due out in April 2010 from a variety of national and regional outlets, online retailers, distribution partners, and direct from Lexmark for $299.99.
