Lexington, KY –- According to a press release issued January 23rd, Anheuser-Busch and Lexmark have agreed to a deal which will have Lexmark providing their MPS to the beverage company for a five-year period.
With this new deal, Lexmark will provide a full suite of MPS services to Anheuser-Busch including the deployment of a fleet of Lexmark’s innovative printers and MFPs. In addition, Lexmark will work with the company to streamline their existing business processes. The deal encompasses all of the Anheuser-Busch facilities in the United States as well as all of the Labatt Brewing Company locations in Canada.
As they do with all of their MPS clients, their MPS solution for Anheuser-Busch is tailored to the customers’ needs. To that end, the elements of the agreement include:
Assess the current printing infrastructure, analyze the data, and determine the best structure to maximize efficient use of printing resources, eliminating waste
As part of their new printer fleet, Anheuser-Busch will be equipped with printers which include the Lexmark X792, X658, T654 and C54x Series of workgroup products
The system will be able to detect low ink in the machines and automatically notify Lexmark. Employees and Anheuser-Busch will never have to fill out a supply requisition because replacement ink and toner will be shipped directly to the necessary locations
Lexmark will also implement their Print Release solution which will capture usage data that can be used to further provide feedback about how and when the employees print.
This is not the first time that the two companies have worked together. Lexmark provides their MPS service to AmBev, a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch, who are based in South America. AmBev recognized Lexmark as the “Best IT Infrastructure Services Provider” in 2010.
With regards to the new agreement, Marty Canning, the Lexmark executive vice president and president of Imaging Solutions and Services said,
“'For more than 10 years, Lexmark has successfully executed global MPS strategies for many of the most trusted and recognized brands in the world. The proof here is in the results-driven MPS methodology Lexmark has implemented with AmBev, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with Anheuser-Busch in North America to drive even greater cost savings and efficiency across the enterprise.'”
