Zink Goes to New Heights (and Widths)

Date: February 24, 2010

New York, NY -- According to an article posted in mid-December on the PC Magazine website, the partnership of Zink Imaging and Pandigital has produced another advance with photo printing technology. Zink, which stands for Zero Ink, had previously only been used in pocket photo printers such as the Dell Wasabi and were limited to photos that measured 2” x 3”. Now they have managed to create the Pandigital Portable Photo Printer which will print Zink photos at twice that size, 4” x 6”.

This printer requires no ink cartridges or ribbons to produce its prints. It is also designed, as the name implies, to be taken anywhere with ease and print on demand. The Pandigital Portable Photo Printer has a memory card slot, LCD screen for image preview, and a user interface for one-touch photo printing.

The printer will be available on a limited basis in December 2009 and then sold widely beginning sometime during the first quarter of 2010.
