In an article published for Macworld, Christopher Breen takes the guesswork out of printing labels in Apple's new OS, Snow Leopard. The application he references is called "Address Book", and it makes printing labels very easy and intuitive if you follow the steps outlined below:
Create your Address Group - First, pick an appropriate name for the set, so you can find it again when you need it. Then move the addresses you want to print on labels into that group.
Select the File menu, and then the Print command - From the box that appears, select "Mailing Labels" from the Style pop up.
Choose your Layout - Select the Layout button next and from the Page pop-up, choose the type of label you will be printing (e.g. Avery standard).
Select your Label Type - From the menu to the right, select the label number of the type you will be using (e.g. 8164).
Hit Print, and that's all.
