Northwest Territory, Australia -- Just when you thought you’d heard it all when it comes to recycling old ink cartridge, the Australian National Park Service has a new idea. In conjunction with Recycled Plastics Australia, they have just opened a new bike trail which is constructed exclusively from excess plastic which originally part of ink cartridges.
The path is located in the Northwest Territory of Australia between Alice Springs and Simpsons Gap. Measuring 10.6 miles, it is a testament to the eco-friendly Australian government who chose to build something sustainable. It even shows good business sense, as the entire project was completed for roughly $330,000.
