Which Samsung toner does my printer use?

Samsung mono lasers use the MLT-D family (D101S, D104S, D105S, D108S, D111S, D116L, D203L, D205L, D305L, D707L). Color lasers use the CLT family (CLT-K/C/M/Y 406S, 504S, 506L, 508L). Multifunction units use SCX-series codes. Look for the part number printed on your existing toner label or in the cartridge bay.

Are HP and Samsung the same now?

HP acquired Samsung's printer division in 2017. Newer Samsung-branded printers are no longer sold as new units; you'll see successors marketed as HP Laser models. However, Samsung MLT-D and CLT cartridges remain in production through compatible suppliers like Castle Ink, so your Samsung printer can keep running for years.

Will compatible Samsung toner void my warranty?
