Six New Dell Printers Released

Date: February 16, 2010

New York, NY -- In an article appearing on Printercomparison.com, six new Dell printers were released in November, 2009. These printers are the first to come from Dell’s partnership with Lexmark in printer development. Dell has previously partnered with Kodak. The newest printers are the V313, V313w, V515w, P713w, V715w and the new P513w.

The V313 and 313W are set to replace the Dell V305 line of printers. They are both 3-in-1 devices that can print, copy, and scan and have a maximum print output of 33 pages per minute (ppm) for black and white prints and 30ppm for color. They also have built-in memory card slots and a USB port. These new models will also be available in some new colors: pink, blue, and black. None of the other Dell machines released this time will have that option.

The P513w is Dell’s first photo printer that has been offered at a consumer friendly price thus far. It prints at 33ppm for black and 30ppm for color like the 313s, but offers a wireless connection to your PC. It also features duplexing and a 2.4” LCD screen for previewing your photos. The P513w offers the same memory card setup at the 313 as well. One other notable feature is Dell’s EcoMode, which includes a button on the display panel that can dim the LCD when not in use.

The V515 is Dell’s replacement for the 505 and 505w. It is part of Dell’s contribution to Product RED which take a portion of the proceeds and donates it to fight AIDS in Africa. The V515 is a 4-in-1 device that can print, scan, copy, and fax. It shares the same print speed as the previously mentioned models of 33ppm black and 30ppm color and the same memory card setup but also boasts a 35-page ADF. It is aimed more towards the home or home office.

The P713w is the follow up to last years P703w and includes a 4.3” WQVGA (Wide Quarter Video Graphics Array) screen. Previous models have utilized ink cartridges, but this new model has switched over to ink tanks instead. Environmentalists, don’t worry, they are still recyclable. The P713w (a 3-in-1 device) also features duplexing, built-in Wi-Fi, 33ppm maximum print output speed, and a 150-sheet paper tray.

The final offering from this new set is the V715w which is designed more with businesses in mind. It is set to replace the Dell 968 which has been a very popular choice. It is a 4-in-1 model and offers wireless connectivity up to the “N” level as well as Ethernet or USB. It comes with a 50-page ADF, duplexing, 2.4” LCD and has a monthly duty cycle of 10,000 pages as well as EcoMode.

The V313, V313w, P513w, V515w, P713w and V715w are already available for purchase at $99, $119, $149, $149, $199, and $189, respectively.
