New York, NY -- According to PC Magazine’s M. David Stone, tabloid-size (11 x 17”) printing has recently become a lot cheaper and thus practical for small businesses to reconsider. Traditionally the printers that used to dominate the wide-format industry were best used for photos, but these three offerings from Canon, Epson, and HP make business printing on such machines easy.
Each of the three printers covered is very inexpensive by normal standards for business-oriented tabloid printers. Part of this is due to the fact that they are inkjet printers, whereas many of the more expensive models are laser printers. In addition, the printers can only handle one type of paper at a time.
One advantage of devices such as these (besides not breaking your budget) are that businesses may now be able to handle some printing of their marketing materials in-house rather than outsourcing it to an office store or print shop. Also, when they are not being used for printing large brochures or spreadsheets, they can function as normal inkjet printers and print on plain letter-sized paper.
