What is a Mini-Printer?

New York, NY -- Today’s lifestyle is getting more and more mobile and more emphasis in technology is being placed on the “instant” things. With traveling seeming to be a prerequisite of any job, there are going to be times when you need to print an email, document, and more. Since you can’t take your office printer with you, then an alternative is needed. Hence, the emergence of compact and portable printers.

For these devices, convenience is necessary so they will commonly run on batteries instead of having to be plugged in to a wall. There are no guarantees you’d be somewhere with an outlet anyways. They are also compact in size and can sometimes fit in a laptop case or briefcase. One never knows when they will need to print a file fast.

Unfortunately, what these printers offer in convenience and portability, they lack in features. What can you expect from something that is small enough for a person to tote around? Many of these printers are set up to print monochrome documents only. Others are set up to print photos only. For those among us that have purchased an iPhone, maybe you will be in a situation where you can print wirelessly from those various printer apps, but that isn’t anything you can count on all the time.

If you can stand the tradeoffs, one of these may be a solution. A miniprinter may be able to help you out with printing emergencies and they are easy to carry.
