New York, NY -- Xerox has long been recognized as a leader in printers and document management. How else can you explain the use of the term “xerox” over the term “photocopy” that happens sometimes in businesses. Despite the success, business is very competitive and companies have to constantly revamp and retool their marketing strategies to keep ahead. Because of this competition, Xerox is launching a new ad campaign beginning September 7 in the United States. The campaign will make its way to Europe later on in 2010. According to the Recycler website, Xerox has chosen Young & Rubicam as its partner.
To increase their visibility as a services company, Xerox is planning on doubling the amount of money they spend on advertising. Since the acquisition of ACS was completed, Xerox has been able to expand on what they can offer companies. Xerox hopes to be able to demonstrate how partnering with them will make it easier on a business to concentrate on their business plan and not on document management.
As part of their campaign, Xerox is launching a new website called RealBusiness.com. It will also officially launch on September 7. The site is going to use customer testimonials to show how they can help businesses. Amongst the most notable clients Xerox has worked with include: “Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Target and Procter & Gamble…The New York Mets, Ducati and the University of Notre Dame.”
The Recycler cited Xerox’s CMO who summarized their efforts this way: “‘It’s all about communicating the new Xerox in fresh and engaging ways to disrupt legacy perceptions of the Xerox brand, and turn up the volume on the breadth and depth of our services and technology.’”
