Rochester, NY -- Previously we reported that HP was rated by IDC as a Leader in their MPS Marketplace report. Xerox also announced late in December 2011 that they had been included in the same way.
In regards to choosing whether or not to invest in a MPS solution, IDC advises companies to examine not only the breadth of services offered by a particular vendor, but also how the vendor is positioning themselves for the future. Holly Muscolino of IDC notes that,
“‘Xerox’s high scores indicate that companies seeking MPS want a partner with market experience and depth of approach to ensure long-term results. Consistent global delivery capabilities are a key differentiator for Xerox, and they continue to build out their infrastructure for global support, including support for indirect channel partners.’”
Xerox offers a full range of MPS services for all types of businesses. For the SMB market, Xerox has its Partner Print Services. This service gives customers the opportunity for training and mentoring along with delivering substantial cost savings. Businesses need only to choose the services they need and Xerox and their partners take care of the rest, allowing businesses to concentrate on their own services, solutions, or products instead of tackling printer issues.
Xerox’s ACS is another means for companies to leverage a large suite of offerings for their business. ACS provides vertical and business process expertise to customers among other things. This also year saw Xerox acquire UK-based NewFieldIT which improved the assessment stage of MPS development and led to the ability to more quickly deploy a solution. Lastly, Xerox entered into a partnership with Cisco to incorporate Xerox’s mobile printing technology into their routers and switches as well as to increase opportunity for the midmarket through channel partners.
