Castle Ink Announces $2,500 Green College Scholarship

Castle Ink's Green Scholarship enters its second year of helping college bound students reach education goals.

Greenlawn, NY (PRWEB) February 2, 2011 The popular printer ink cartridge retailer Castle Ink will offer a $2500 college scholarship to college bound students for the second straight year. The Green Scholarship is open to students who will be attending college during calendar year 2011.

Providing students who are committed to making the environment healthier with financial support for college is the impetus behind the scholarship. "We are very proud that in these tough economic times we are able to help students achieve their college dreams. Education is the key to economic empowerment and future opportunities," said Lauren Elward, CEO of Castle Ink.

This year Castle Ink will open the college scholarship to students of all levels of academic achievement, increasing access to the scholarship opportunity. Applicants are encouraged to write, design, draw, or otherwise produce an inspirational post about the importance of recycling. They must then utilize the Internet to promote their work. The post needs to be focused on the competition's theme of driving awareness of recycling. The winner will be determined by the cumulative amount of impressions driven by the student's post.
