Canon Selphy DS810 Printer

The Canon Selphy DS810 is a modest improvement on the DS700 small inkjet that still retains the convenience and portability of the original. The main strengths of the DS810 are still its size and ease of use. The mini printer can connect to a PC or MAC; but it actually works better connected to your TV or standalone via its PictBridge port for directly connecting to your digital camera, slots for most major memory cards, or infrared for PDAs and cell phones. The new model now also contains a 2.5 inch color LCD for viewing and editing. The printer comes with a mini remote control for controlling your TV viewing as well. The DS810 is limited to print up to 4 x 6 color photos, but it does it at a max 4,800 x 1,200 dpi with solid quality colors at an improved speed of 65 seconds per picture. The DS810 still lacks a battery option, which seemed like the most obvious flaw to fix from original. The printer has one ink cartridge: a tricolor (BCI-16 Color) which it uses at a fairly efficient rate. Overall, the Canon Selphy DS810 is still a worthwhile choice for simple, portable push button printing.
