Canon i470D Inkjet Printer

The Canon i470D is a quality photo inkjet printer that’s ideal for both homes and small offices. PC and MAC compatible, the i470D prints up to a resolution of 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. The text and graphics are clear, vivid, and detailed with only the occasional minor error; the printer’s strength is in its high quality photo printing, a Canon trademark. The printer has front slots for most major memory cards and a slot for directly connecting and printing from select digital cameras. An LCD screen is lacking though so there is some minor inconvenience when printing computer free from the memory card. The printing is relatively speedy with an average top speed of 17 pages per minute. The printer uses 2 ink cartridges: black (BCI-24Bk) and tricolor (BCI-24C), and while non-individual ink color cartridges are less efficient the printer itself has good ink economy. Overall the i470D is a slightly expensive but good buy for families and students with a growing interest in digital photography.
