Canon i9900 Inkjet Printer

The Canon i9900 is a medium format photo printer for the photo enthusiast. The i9900 uses an impressive 8 individual color ink cartridge system: black (BCI-6Bk), cyan (BCI-6C), yellow (BCI-6Y), magenta (BCI-6M), photo cyan (BCI-6PC), photo magenta (BCI-6PM), green (BCI-6G), and red (BCI-6R) to efficiently print photos of up to 13 x 19 at optimized 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. It is PC and MAC compatible but also allows for computer free printing with its PictBridge port for direct printing from your digital camera, although memory card slots and a LCD would have been welcome. In addition to its high resolution printing the i9900 can swiftly print an 8 x 10 photo at high settings in approximately 2 minutes. The major drawback of the printer is its limited versatility in handling printing paper. There is no roll paper print feature, no straight through paper path, and a limited number of paper types it can print on. If you work with a limited number of paper options then the i9900 is a great choice for the photo enthusiast who wants to take their printing to the next level.
