The Canon MX850 is a 4-in-1 functional printer that was created with printing and photo projects in mind. With the ability to copy, fax, scan, and print, the MX850 is perfect for both the office and at home. It features print and copy speeds up to 31 ppm in black and 24 ppm in color. Printing capabilities include 600 x 600 dpi in black, 9600 x 2400 in color, and 2-sided printing. Built-in Ethernet connectivity allows users to connect the MX850 to any network. Of note, network connection for the MX850 is different from other printers. This model requires both the Ethernet and USB cable to be connected to the PC for installation. Media slots are capable of supporting Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity, mini Secure Digital, microSD, MultiMediaCard, Reduced-Size MultiMediaCard (RS-MMC), CompactFlash, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, and Memory Stick PRO Duo. A 48-bit flatbed scanner features and 8.5" x 11.7" scan area and 4800 x 9600 dpi optical resolution. A high-speed Super G3 fax, with a 33.6 Kbsp modem, features 100 speed dials, 250-page memory, and color faxing capabilities. In addition, there is a 5-ink color system with a precise 4,608 nozzle print head. This system enables the MX850 to create rich, picture-quality photos that will not disappoint. Additional features include dual color gamut processing technology, auto image fix, a 2.5" TFT-LCD monitor for photo viewing, high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, and direct printing from PictBridge compatible cameras and Bluetooth devices. Software includes Easy PhotoPrint EX, Mp Navigator EX, Newsoft Presto PageManager, and ScanSoft OmniPage SE. Additional accessories include a PGI-5 black pigment ink cartridge, CLI-8B, CLI-8Y, CLI-8C, CLI-8M, print head, power cord, phone cable, and 9 sheets of sample media.
