Canon S 900 Inkjet Printer

The Canon S900 is an inkjet photo printer with high quality home photo printing at a price. The PC and MAC compatible S900 offers good text, graphics, and impressive photo printing all at a resolution of up to 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. The S900 makes these fine prints at a swift average top speed of 23 pages per minute. One negative is that for the prices some extra features like ports for memory cards or PictBridge connection would have been appreciated. One thing to note is the exclusion of the parallel port with the exclusive USB only connection. The printer uses 6 individual ink cartridges: black (BCI-6Bk), cyan (BCI-6C), yellow (BCI-6Y), magenta (BCI-6M), photo magenta (BCI-6PM), and photo cyan (BCI-6PC). The inclusion of the two photo cartridges allow for greater quality and detail in photo prints while the individual cartridges make printing more efficient and cost effective. Overall, for a slightly higher end price, the Canon S900 offers great performance and reliability for the growing photo enthusiast.
