Epson Stylus R340 Printer

The Epson Stylus R340 is a slightly improved version of the R320 (which in turn was an improvement on the R300). It isn’t too much of a departure from the previous model. The two main improvements are an enlarged 2.4 inch color LCD screen and increased printing speeds that are closer to the 15 pages per minute for text and 1 minute for 4 x 6 photos. It still utilizes the 6 individual Epson Photo ink cartridges (T048120, T048220, T048320, T048420, T048520, T048620) for economical ink use, it still prints high quality photo and non-photo images at 5,700 dpi, and can print onto inkjet printable CDs and DVDs. The slots for all the memory cards and the PictBridge connector are there as well. It is definitely a solid printer for the home and family. All and all it is a slight improvement over the R320, but the progress is worth the extra $20.
