HP Business Inkjet 1200d Printer

The HP Business Inkjet 1200d is a quality inkjet printer for the budget minded small office. The PC and MAC compatible, Inkjet 1200d prints at a maximum setting of 4,800 x 1,200 optimized dpi. It prints out sharp, quality text and graphics, although photo quality is merely adequate. It has a 4 color ink printing system that utilizes individual ink cartridges (HP 10 Black Ink, HP 11 Cyan Ink, HP 11 Magenta Ink, HP 11 Yellow Ink) a rarity among HP printers that will provide more efficient and cost effective ink usage. The printer also provides double sided printing, which is quite impressive for a $200 machine. Some minor downsides to the model mainly involve photo printing. While it has a relatively swift max text and graphic printing speed of around 24 pages per minute, the photo printing is quite slow, taking 7 and a half minutes for an 8 x 10 photo print on high quality. Overall, since many businesses aren’t too photo intensive in their printing, the Inkjet 1200d is a great buy for everyday, office text and graphic printing.
