Increase productivity at the office with the Hewlett Packard Laser Jet 2300 Printer. The HP Business Inkjet 2300 is a decent inkjet printer for any office willing to pay its above average price. The Inkjet 2300 is PC and Mac compatible and prints at a quality max resolution of 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. In the case of text and graphics they are of good quality. In terms of photos, it is definitely sub par, displaying the occasional banding and spottiness one might find in a sub-$100 inkjet. The Inkjet 2300 has a 4 color ink printing system that utilizes individual ink tanks (HP 10 Black Inkjet, HP 11 Cyan Ink, HP 11 Magenta Ink, HP 11 Yellow Ink) a rare trait for an HP printer that will give more efficient and cost effective ink usage. It also has an extra tray which allows for a high, 400 sheet capacity. The print speed for text and graphics is relatively swift at around 22 pages per minute, while the photo speed is a bit on the slow side with 4 and a half minutes for a high quality 5 x 7 photo. Overall, the at best average printing and high price of the Inkjet 2300 doesn’t make it particularly good buy relative to cheaper, more feature laden office printers.
