The HP Photosmart 2610 All-in-One is a solid multifunction printer for the home and small office user. The PC and MAC compatible PSC 2610, scans/faxes/copies at a robust 48 bit, 2,400 max optimized dpi resolution. The color printing is at a max 4,800 x 1,200 optimized dpi while black and white is at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. The text and graphics print at a high, presentation worthy quality and the photos are of similar high quality with vibrant and accurate colors. The printing also comes at a speedy max average of 25 pages per minute. The PSC 2610 has a comfortable 2.5 inch color LCD screen which works with the memory card slots and the direct to digital camera PictBridge port, to allow you to select, edit, and print photos computer free. In a slight disappointment, the PSC 2610 only uses a 2 ink cartridge system with 4 colors (HP 94 Black Vivera Inkjet and HP 95 Vivera Tricolor Inkjet) with the option of manually replacing the black with a photo ink (HP 99 Vivera Photo Inkjet or HP 100 Gray) for six colors and higher photo quality. This is more akin to printers half its price and since they’re not individual cartridges they are less efficient and might cost more in the long run. Overall, despite it being on the pricey side the PSC 2610 offers high end multifunction printing features and performance for any home or small office.
