The HP Photosmart 335 is the little photo printer with convenient portability in mind. The Photosmart 335’s main strengths are indeed its small size and ease of use. The lunch box sized printer can connect to a PC or MAC; but it can also work standalone via its slots for all major memory cards, PictBridge support for directly connecting your digital camera, and a slightly undersized color 1.5 inch LCD screen with minor editing features. The 335 also has an optional battery for on the go printing. Of course you’re not expecting the highest quality of prints from a machine like this. The Photosmart 335 prints only borderless 4 x 6 color photos at 4,800 x 1,200 dpi with slight decline in quality relative to non portable photo printers, although it does it at a swift one and a half minute per 4 x 6 photo. The printer uses a single Tricolor HP 95 Vivera ink cartridge and accepts optional Gray Photo HP 100 Vivera ink cartridge. Overall, if you put a high premium on ease of use and portability over high end perfect printing, the Photosmart 335 is a good buy.
