HP DeskJet 3930 Printer Review
The HP DeskJet 3930 Color Inkjet Printer offers a solid, no frills, basic inkjet for a price that can’t be beat. The PC and MAC compatible DeskJet 3930 prints at a maximum 4,800 x 1,200 optimized dpi and offers decent graphics, better texts, and sub par, less vibrant photos (up to 8.5 x 11). The DeskJet 3930 has the standard two ink cartridge system of a black (HP 21 black ink cartridge) and a tricolor (HP 22 Tricolor ink cartridge) so you might end up spending more than the initial price of the printer on wasted ink. The printing is on the slow side with about 11 pages per minute for text and graphics and over 12 and a half minutes for a 8 x 10 print at high settings. There really are no other features to speak of in this budget system. Overall, the DeskJet 3930 exceeds what you’d expect from a $40 printer and is adequate for beginners, students, and casual users but if you want a bit more from your printing you could spend a bit more.
