Automatic color calibration ensures high quality color that is consistent across printouts. This printer features HP Image Resolution Enhancement Technology with 2400 dpi color laser print quality. The 4550N is a network-ready printer that is set to go right out of the box. It’s a real workhorse --ideal for workgroup environments in business. The biggest problem we have with this machine is that it takes forever to warm up.Once ti gets going, you’ll be very happy with the results. It prints photos that look like they came from the photo lab. This printer speeds along at 16 pages per minute in black but only 4 pages per minute in color. You can definitely find faster printers with more advanced color options on the market today. The technology that powers the HP 4550n is a bit dated. We’d recommend a newer model.
