HP DeskJet 6840 Inkjet Printer

The HP Deskjet 6840 is a slightly high end home inkjet printer for a small business or a family. The main strength of the printer is its built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet capabilities. It lacks the memory card slots of comparable photo printers but it does have a PictBridge port for directly connecting your digital camera. The printing quality is good for all forms of printing (text, photo, color) and speeds are relatively swift with it printing with an 8 x 10 photo coming in a little over 2 minutes and a max print speed of 30 pages per minute. One downside is that the 4 ink colors are actually a black cartridge and a tri-color ink cartridge (HP 94 Black and HP 95 Tri-color) and as with most HP consumer printers, after one color depletes the whole ink cartridge is thrown out, which might be costly in the long run. Despite the ink issue, the Deskjet 6840 is a solid family or home office inkjet printer that is capable of more than its share of photo printing as well.
