HP PhotoSmart 7260 Inkjet Printer

The HP Photosmart 7260 is an inkjet photo printer that’s ideal for homes and small offices looking for a little extra quality in their photos. The Photosmart 7260 offers high quality color photo prints of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. The text and graphics are sharp and clear, but its real strength is in the high quality photos it prints. It is PC and MAC compatible but also allows for computer free printing since it has slots for all major memory cards and a PictBridge port for direct printing from your digital camera. An LCD screen of some sort would have been more convenient for the memory cards through. The printing speeds are comparably fast, with a little over 5 minutes for a 8.5 x 11 photo. The printer uses a 2 ink cartridge system with 4 colors (HP 56 Black Inkjet and HP 57 Tricolor Inkjet) but the black can be manually replaced with a photo ink (HP 58 Photo Inkjet or HP 59 Gray Photo Inkjet) for six colors. Since these are not individual cartridges they are less efficient and might cost more in the long run. Aside from that issue, the Photosmart 7260 is a quality choice for all photo enthusiasts.
