The HP Photosmart 7755 is a decent photo printer that gives a good set of features relative to the price. The PC and MAC compatible Photosmart 7755 prints at a max 4,800 x 1,200 dpi and offers good decent ratings for text, graphics, and solid ratings for photo prints. It allows for computer free printing through its slots for all major memory cards, PictBridge port for direct printing from your digital camera, and a 1.8 inch colorLCD screen will make it less convenient. The printing speeds are a significant flaw, with dreadfully slow average top speeds of 10 pages per minute. The printer uses a 2 ink cartridge system with 4 colors (HP 56 Black Inkjet and HP 57 Tricolor Inkjet) but the black can be manually replaced with a photo ink cartridge (HP 58 Photo Inkjet or HP 59 Gray Photo Inkjet) for six colors. But be wary however, since they’re not individual cartridges they are less efficient and might cost more in the long run. Overall the Photosmart 7755, aside from the speed issue, offers some of most features for the price and is something to consider for students and the home.
